Two chapels[edit]

I think I should point out that there are TWO chapels of this name on the rock. There is the one described here, and also another at the foot of the rock near the railway line. It is a ruin, and in a very bad way. --MacRusgail 18:18, 16 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting, didn't know that. Any info could be added to the article...dave souza 19:27, 17 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
There is only one St. Margaret's Chapel on the Castle Rock. St Margaret's Well is the other Saint Margaret associated edifice on the Castle rock. The defensive well house tower (built in 1362) is the ruin near the railway line which you see today. Antisthenes 22:42, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that info which seems logical: can you cite a verifiable source so that it can be added to the article? .. dave souza, talk 23:14, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'll try to dig out a source next time I'm in the library. I'm not sure that this is really a point worth adding to this page though since aside from a common name the chapel and the well really have nothing to do with one another. This is more properly a point to deal with in articles concerned with a.) Edinburgh Castle and b.) Saint Margaret.
