Failed move[edit]

Ok, since the move suggested above failed, I have a question to ask you two, @Cuchullain and Corkythehornetfan: If I start a separate page that covers the rivalry titled "War on I-4 (UCF-USF rivalry)" and link back to this page as the main article under the football section (similar to Sunflower Showdow and Kansas–Kansas State football rivalry), would that be acceptable to both of you? Elisfkc (talk) 19:09, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Elisfkc, I don't think that's optimal. It would be better to just include all sports material and football material in the same article (this one) and just title it South Florida–UCF football rivalry.--Cúchullain t/c 20:29, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Cuchullain but it's not just football anymore. That would mean that the title would be wrong. Elisfkc (talk) 21:12, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I meant South Florida–UCF rivalry. "South Florida–UCF football rivalry" is obviously the former name. At any rate, I was WP:BOLD and moved the article, as there was already material on the all-sports rivalry, and you clearly have more to add.--Cúchullain t/c 21:14, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Sweet, thanks. Elisfkc (talk) 21:27, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Baseball[edit]

Can someone double-check the results on the baseball section? I know I made a couple mistakes (missing games/multiple entries for one games) because the numbers don't add up to either schools' claimed total. The current total I have in the table is 64-61 USF. Also, there must be some other game that UCF counts that USF does not, because UCF claims they have won one more time than USF claims UCF has. Elisfkc (talk) 20:47, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 31 August 2020[edit]

It has been 4 years since the last attempted move for this article. In that time, both fanbases as well as the media have referred to the rivalry overwhelmingly as the War on I-4, so in accordance with WP:COMMONNAME the article should be moved. 3ntry0urus3rn4me (talk) 06:32, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

@3ntry0urus3rn4me: It is an issue of licensing. Logos that are just letters, like the UCF one and the USF wordmark, are {{PD-textlogo}}, making them available for use throughout. The USF horns is a {{Non-free logo}}, because it is too complex. --Elisfkc (talk) 16:51, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Elisfkc: Would it not qualify as fair use given that it is a logo? Pages for NFL, NBA, etc. teams all show the team's primary logo listed under fair use, as do other college teams with non letter logos such as Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, and Oregon State Beavers. 3ntry0urus3rn4me (talk) 18:51, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@3ntry0urus3rn4me: It is fair use if it is used on that one page, but not all over on other pages. Notice how on other rivalry pages, like Florida Cup, Florida–Florida State football rivalry, Oregon–Oregon State football rivalry & the Sunflower Showdown, a workmark is used instead of logos, when applicable, because the logo is not able to be used. Volleyball[edit]

Is there a way to make sure the second volleyball game keeps reading that FTU won? Since the score is listed as unknown the template keeps trying to make that game show up as a tie. Geolojoey (talk) 23:46, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
