Note about Big Ten POY[edit]

This template shows the official Big Ten Conference Player of the Year winners, awards established in the 1984-85 season. Not to be confused with the Chicago Tribune Silver Basketball, a designation selected by the Chicago Tribune from 1946-2007, also called teh "Big Ten MVP." Like some other conferences, the Big Ten selects both a media and coaches' Player of the Year. Both are represented on the template (most years the voting bodies agreed.
