I used to be called Beeblebrox. I'm fine with it if anyone still calls me that, or Beebs, or whatever. |

Taking a break[edit]
It was always my intention to take a prolonged break after my term was up, it's just up a few weeks sooner than expected. I may still upload photos on Commons and add them to article over here, but I will otherwise not be around on-wiki for a while. Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 20:50, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- Look after yourself. For what it's worth when you come back, I always find article writing much more fulfilling than the internal politics. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:58, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- While I was on the committee I paused a long-term project I had to make every entry at Alaska State Parks a blue link. I'll probably take that back up. You can have the internal politics for a while. Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 21:01, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- I've had the same goal for a while. Let me know if you would like to do that when you get back. Maybe we can split the entries and collaborate together to make them all blue. --ARoseWolf 12:09, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- I always liked the Beeblebrox username. I pictured a scowling beetle browed person, quite ready to handle disagreeable whipper-snappers. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/beetle-browed#:~:text=adjective,a%20beetle%2Dbrowed%20old%20man Wishing you all the best in your new mode. Administrators' newsletter – December 2023[edit]
News and updates for administrators from the past month (November 2023).
- Following a talk page discussion, the Administrators' accountability policy has been updated to note that while it is considered best practice for administrators to have notifications (pings) enabled, this is not mandatory. Administrators who do not use notifications are now strongly encouraged to indicate this on their user page.

Now, non-extended-confirmed editors may use the "Talk:" namespace solely to make edit requests related to articles within the topic area, provided that their actions are not disruptive.
- The Arbitration Committee has announced a call for Checkusers and Oversighters, stating that it will currently be accepting applications for CheckUser and/or Oversight permissions at any point in the year.
- Eligible users are invited to vote on candidates for the Arbitration Committee until 23:59 December 11, 2023 (UTC). Candidate statements can be seen here.
Merry Christmas![edit]
Hi JSS (do you mind if I just call you JSS?). It's always nice to have another Alaskan to talk with once in a while, and it's nice to see all the great work you've done on articles of local interest. Glad to see you're still around after all these years. I wanted to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas, and may the coming New Year be all you hope for. Wifione[edit]
Hi. I remember my extensive interaction with this disgusting creature years ago - the ArbCom and a long time before that. Now I just noticed in the Admin newsletter Lourdes. Also a name I remember. I searched for any interaction between us. There was something years ago, and I'd say I was suspicious. But then I left this place. I'd say they are lucky that I left .. but I know that a new name is looking at this thread now, smiling, making new "friends" on Wikipedia. Internet gives people a chance to show their worst. Some just take the chance. This Wifione/Lourdes creature think they show us how clever they are and don't realize that they actually show us they are utter scum. I almost feel sorry for them - so many years lost in creating false meaningless online reputation ... poor life. They may be smiling but it's them who actually loose. Sorry for my bad English. Best of luck in real life :) Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 15:54, 20 December 2023 (UTC)

Check[edit]
[1] Is your autocorrect acting up, Just Step Sideways? No sarcasm here. starship.paint (RUN) 13:25, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
- Honestly, it has seemed to me for a long time that my autocorrect doesn't play well with WP. If I'm writing an email it highlights the typos, if I'm writing a WP comment, it does not, and I make a lot of typos. Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 18:06, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
