You misunderstood my Bay Bridge edit… — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:19B:67E:C620:5403:9444:97C:28A2 (talk) 03:36, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dylan Sada[edit]

I don't know who you are but I was a close friend of Dylan's while she was alive, my name is Melissa Thomas. I made several edits to your Wikipedia page here as I felt that your original interpretation of Dylan's life was invasive, distracted, embarrassing and offcourse and that it excluded the way she viewed the world and her fellow creatives. As far as my sources, the information I added can be found on Dylan's Facebook page Momomilk, her Instagram page and her Facebook page under Dylan Sada. I don't know how to code source but I do know how to deeply respect someone I love.

If you are going to write about anyone in such a public way, make sure you research them thoroughly so as to share an accurate, whole picture of who they are or were. 2001:5B0:4ED4:D478:D9B0:656A:D276:ABD4 (talk) 21:06, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia! It's important to understand that all information in Wikipedia must come from a published reliable source. Information that you have learned from your personal contact with Dylan cannot be added, even if you know that it is correct. This is because Wikipedia requires that all content is verifiable; that is, anyone reading it can check the source to confirm the information. Personal knowledge cannot be verified, so is not acceptable. See WP:V for more details on our verifiability policy.
Information that comes from Dylan herself is considered "self published". It can be used in limited ways, to verify simple unexceptional claims, but it is preferable to use third-party sources rather than content published by the subject herself. See WP:ABOUTSELF for more information about this policy.
Finally, as a friend of Dylan, you have what Wikipedia considers a conflict of interest on this topic. Therefore, you should not make any edits to the article yourself. See WP:COI for more information about this, and in particular note the statement "If you have a personal connection to a topic or person, you are advised to refrain from editing those articles directly and to provide full disclosure of the connection if you comment about the article on talk pages or in other discussions." Instead, you should make an edit request on the articles talk page here, and let another editor make the change. You can find instructions on how to make an edit request here: WP:EDITREQ. When you make edit requests, be sure to include a link to a published source that supports the change you are proposing.
Thanks, I hope this information was helpful. CodeTalker (talk) 22:34, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I believe it would be well argued that as a personal friend, that user's testimony is a secondary resource all it's own. 104.232.89.88 (talk) 09:07, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to join New pages patrol[edit]

Hello CodeTalker!

  • The New Pages Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles needing review. We could use a few extra hands to help.
  • We think that someone with your activity and experience is very likely to meet the guidelines for granting.
  • Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time, but it requires a strong understanding of Wikipedia’s CSD policy and notability guidelines.
  • Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision, and feel free to post on the project talk page with questions.
  • If patrolling new pages is something you'd be willing to help out with, please consider applying here.

Thank you for your consideration. We hope to see you around!

Hi i don't know who you are and why you reverted my research. BTW my name is Muhammad Ismail a new contributor on Wikipedia! I just added a history of ittalian city you asked for. Nexus3580962 (talk) 20:49, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! We already have an article about Pompei here. If you have information that you would like to add to it, you are welcome to edit that article, but make sure that you cite the sources that you use; see WP:CITE. The changes that you made were to the talk page of Valle Roveto, an article unrelated to Pompei. Talk pages are for discussion of article improvements; see WP:TALK. In this case, the talk page you edited should be for discussion of the Valle Roveto article, not for drafting a new unrelated article. I hope this helps! Zion[edit]

Thanks for fixing that, but it's called vandalism, not nonsense & unreliable :))) Arminden (talk) 21:39, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

hi You deleted my update on the profile of Bahrain. You wrote to me "Hello, I'm CodeTalker. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Bahrain, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. CodeTalker (talk) 21:14, 19 March 2024 (UTC)"
