AFD Closure[edit]

Hello, QiuLiming1,

You are too inexperienced to be closing a deletion discussion and you are considered "involved" as you are the article creator. This is highly improper. Do not ever do this again or you will lose your editing privileges. Liz Read! Talk! 23:26, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

OK. I thought I could keep it because the nominator have withdrawn the nomination. QiuLiming1 (talk) 05:14, 23 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Well, that is not correct. But you are a new editor and it takes a long time to become familiar with Wikipedia policies. I don't want you to quit editing Wikipedia over this, I just don't want you to close deletion discussion until you have much more experience and are not involved. Please stick around. Liz Read! April 2022[edit]

Hello, I'm Kirbanzo. I noticed that in this edit to 2022 Shanghai COVID-19 outbreak, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Kirbanzo (talk - contribs) 23:41, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Kirbanzo First of all, I added this content by myself, and I think it is unnesseacery because it does not relate specificly to Shanghai pandemic. QiuLiming1 (talk) 23:48, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Gotcha. Please provide that kind of information in the edit summary next time, since it helps avoid misunderstandings like this. I won't revert if you remove said content again. Kirbanzo (talk - contribs) 23:50, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Inappropriate illustrations of Chinese textbook, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Good start. You really need independent sources to build the article and put it in firmer ground for surviving as a separate article. Happy editing!

@North8000:I forgot to request speed delete this article, I created same article on Chinese wiki, and it got delete during an afd I requested, I can't found any reliable source describing this, and I highly suspect the number on the official website were fake. QiuLiming1 (talk) 14:09, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
When I reviewed I did check that there was coverage in independent sources which means that it's probably OK for mere existence as an article. But as you point out, that does not resolve issues regarding verifiability of material in the article. North8000 (talk) 15:33, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, QiuLiming1. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "Inappropriate illustrations of Chinese textbook".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
